About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Marketing & Communications Manager to own brand growth, demand generation, and external communications. You will build and execute marketing programs that increase brand awareness, drive qualified leads, and tell our story consistently across channels. This is a high-impact role that collaborates closely with Product, Sales/Recruiting, and Leadership to translate business goals into measurable marketing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the marketing & communications strategy across brand, digital, content, PR, and demand-generation channels.
- Plan and run integrated campaigns (organic) to drive brand awareness and qualified candidate/recruiter leads.
- Create and manage content: blog posts, case studies, email campaigns, social media, website copy, and thought-leadership assets.
- Manage public relations: develop media lists, write press releases, cultivate relationships with journalists/influencers, and coordinate interviews.
- Oversee employer branding and recruiting marketing to attract top talent and partners.
- Run performance marketing: paid search, paid social, remarketing, and optimize campaigns using analytics and A/B testing.
- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency across product, marketing, and partner touchpoints.
- Lead events and webinars, ideation, promotion, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
- Track marketing KPIs (traffic, MQLs, CAC, conversion rates, engagement) and report ROI to leadership.
- Manage agency/freelancer relationships and marketing budgets.
Who We Are Looking For
- 3–7 years of progressive marketing experience (in-house or agency), with ownership of end-to-end campaigns.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content strategy, and PR.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Ads platforms, marketing automation/CRM).
- Hands-on experience with social media management, email marketing platforms, and basic SEO best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to craft clear, persuasive messaging for different audiences.
- Strategic thinker who can translate business goals into measurable marketing plans.
- Comfortable executing day-to-day tactical work (campaign setup, copywriting, reporting) while leading strategy.
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Data-informed: uses metrics to iterate and optimize.
- Creative, proactive, and resourceful, thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
💸 Compensation
Your initial compensation will be 100% in FlexUp equity (Credits and Tokens) for the first ~6 months, until we raise external funding or begin generating revenues. To understand how FlexUp equity works, please refer to the FlexUp Economic Model Overview.

We understand that everyone’s situation is different. If needed, we are open to adapting:
- Scenario A: You currently have a job and need a stable income
You may apply for a part-time position during the first phase, allowing you to maintain your current revenue stream while contributing to FlexUp and gradually transitioning to full-time later. - Scenario B: You do not currently have income and require some cash
In limited cases, we may be able to offer a modest portion of your compensation in cash, within the limits of our current financial resources.
